GEORGINA BRUNI

It’s been a truly hectic month for most of us here at Hot Gossip. Mark, our music ed has been touring, Sally and Joan have been in the South of France and little old me was tied up helping to organise a fundraising event for the Valerie Austin Foundation, which I’ll be reporting on next month. Meanwhile Jacquieline, our crime and ed was preparing for the launch of her US book publication of ‘The Circuit’ and her video ‘Stay Safe’ to be held at the Waldorf Hotel, New York on 1 October, which we’ll be reporting on also. There’s never a dull moment!

We have a great cover picture this month featuring Lara McAllen, who you can read all about her in our Music section. A girl who’s going to go far!

Anyway we’re all getting ready for the autumn social season, kicking off with a party on 7 October at the Beauchamp in Beauchamp Place, Knightsbridge, what used to be one of Princess Diana’s favourite shopping and dining streets.

For anybody wanting a fabulous winter break I suggest spending a weekend at the THE HOTEL ROSSETTI, Manchester, a fabulous trendy luxury hotel ideal for that well earned break. Beautifully decorated, with its own nightclub and restaurants, plus all rooms have TV, DVD and super stylish bathrooms. Check out their website for other great offers in other parts of the UK. www.aliashotels.com

And here’s a quote from their marketing manager:

"Alias Hotels are a new brand of funkier than average hotels for the young at heart offering style and affordability. They are Alias Hotel Kandinsky (Cheltenham), Alias Hotel Barcelona (Exeter), which is Good Hotel Guide 2002’s Design Hotel of the Year, Alias Hotel Rossetti (Manchester) opening in October 2002, Alias Hotel Seattle (Brighton) opened February 2003 and Alias Hotel (Ropewalks) Liverpool opening mid 2004. ‘As with all Alias Hotels, it’s important that guests leave with the feeling that they have received good value for money. Double rooms start at £95 and Alias The Weekend (2 nights slumber in the stunning loft rooms, continental breakfast each morning and £40 to spend in Café Paradiso or The Basement for £249 FOR TWO PEOPLE."
